Notes from James
WEEKLY LETTER
ISSUE #17 · Aug 9
Hey {{first_name}}
Recently I have been in love with the song “Orbiter” by Noah Kahan and I haven’t been able to explain why. Until I had one of those nights of total vulnerability and the song came on. I love this song because I want to feel like the chorus:
"I'm an astronaut, you're the Moon
I starе at you, I sing to you
I circle you”
This metaphor unlocks something inside of me. I want to feel that way about life. I want to be the astronaut that looks at life like it is the moon, I want to sing to it, I want to stare at it, I want to nurture it, I want to love it as much as an astronaut loves the moon.
I say this with my heart on my sleeve in complete vulnerability hoping that I can share my love in this way. It is my intention to show the world how to live in love, outside of judgement, gossip, and condemnation.
To hold space for people to be themselves, without external forces to mold them into what they think they are supposed to be. You are safe to be yourself, and I will love you as so.
Do I have the courage to speak this to the world? I sure hope so.
Do I have the strength to live this way on the hard days? I sure hope so.
Are there others out there that want to live the same way? I sure hope so.
QUOTE OF THE WEEK
“The eternal present is the space within which your whole life unfolds, the one factor that remains constant. Life is now. There was never a time when your life was not now, nor will there ever be.”

From James
This past week I allowed my life to flow.
What a gift it is to wake up in the same bed every morning, knowing what you’re going to eat, where you are going to work out, and that your WiFi is not going to cut out.
For the first time in my life I have not been setting an alarm for the morning.
This is doing wonders for my nervous system. The shock of an alarm is not a pleasant way for me to wake up.
I believe there are 2 reasons that I have been able to wake up early consistently for the last few weeks.
The first reason is that I have been paying attention to my circadian rhythm by not using my phone at least 1 hour before bed, and 1 hour after I wake up, and I have been going outside in the morning to see the sun.
The second reason is the new blue light blocking glasses that I started wearing.
I had a cheap pair of blue light blockers from Amazon before, but I now know they were not doing a thing when I compare them to the new glasses I got.
They make my eyes feel completely different.
If you work on a computer or are on your phone all day, I highly recommend buying a pair for yourself.
