Notes from James

WEEKLY LETTER
ISSUE #11 · June 28

Hey {{first_name}}

I didn’t use to think deeply about personal development, but it has been on my mind a lot this past year.

Not in the toxic way that it is portrayed on social media.

In a healthy way that allows me to turn potential into reality.

For me this means allowing space to read new ideas, allowing my mind to quiet, and then deciding what I hold important.

I have found the journal highly effective for getting ideas out of my head and onto paper. Very helpful for organizing my thoughts for what matters.

If you want to join me in your personal development journey, here are some questions I have been considering recently:

  • What is my purpose on this Earth?

  • What makes more sense: Eastern traditions or Western science?

  • Where did my spirit come from and how does it shape who I am?

  • How can I be of service to others?

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

All things are subject to interpretation whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power and not truth.”

From James

This past week I am back on the road throughout the United States for my day job.

While I love being on the road, meeting new people, and having interesting conversations, it takes up a lot of my time.

However, I have found that the time on the road between road trip stops is giving me the opportunity to read a lot.

This coming week you will see book reviews of The Psychology of Money and Tribes on my socials.

Two different books, but both in the same genre; learning more about how humans think and act.

I have also cut out using my phone in the morning when I wake up and before I fall asleep and replaced this time with reading as well.

If you have any book recommendations, please send them my way!

- James
