Notes from James

WEEKLY LETTER
ISSUE #7 · May 31

Hey {{first_name}}

New ideas are interesting. I post a lot of new ideas.

New ideas are typically received in one of four ways: acceptance, openness, denial, or anger

What I mean by new ideas are topics that I learn about like Dr. Patrick Flanagan’s Neurophone (Day 281 learning below).

The Neruophone is an amazing technology that has been suppressed (for what reason I do no know), and it acts like an electronic telepathy machine.

But, that’s not the point. The reason I bring this up is because I find it very interesting that some people will learn about a technology like the neurophone and their response will be anger.

Instead of having an open mind and wondering if what they just learned could be true, they immediately feel anger and let me know by leaving a comment.

Where does this anger come from?

I’m not saying you should believe every thing you see online, but I am advocating for people to think for themselves & do your own research if you want to form an opinion with conviction.

Getting angry and leaving a comment discrediting what you just heard without any prior knowledge of your own doesn’t make much sense to me.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Humanity takes itself too seriously. It is the world's original sin. If the cave-man had known how to laugh, History would have been different.”

From James

The past few days have felt very restorative.

I’ve been living on the road out of a backpack since January of this year and I am settled into my brother’s place for the week which has allowed some much needed sleep, home-cooked meals, and gym sessions.

It’s the simple things of living in one place that you miss when you are moving around so much. Same bed, routine, home cooked meals, consistent gym, no time spent traveling between places, etc.

I am grateful to be able to travel around so much, but the comfort of living in one place is really nice too.
