Notes from James

WEEKLY LETTER
ISSUE #4 · May 10

Hey {{first_name}}

This week kicks off my first 7-day learning challenge! For the next week I am going to learn about the same topic every day. I’ll recap how it goes next week, but I’m excited to try something new.

For the next week I will be researching if it is really healthy to eat 3 meals per day.

I got censored on YouTube (again). Making sweeping claims about health is not allowed on most platforms, and I flew too close to the sun with the title “Seed oils are making you sunburn!”

The video itself doesn’t make any conclusions like the title suggests, but I made the title so that one’s on me.

Here’s what it looks like to be silently censored (checkout the view counts):

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

And I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, ‘If this isn’t nice, I don’t know what is.’”

- Kurt Vonnegut

From James
It’s hard to believe it’s only been a week since I last sat down to write this newsletter. So much is changing so fast.

In the past week I flew from Bangkok to Tokyo to Honolulu. Surfed, had meals, played volleyball, and went to church with old friends.

Then I flew to Maui to see my Dad and sister to help chop down some trees, plant new ones, and spend time with loved ones.

Tomorrow I fly to Colorado for a 10-day work road trip.

All of this to say, the speed in which we move in our day-to-day equates to how fast everything can change in our lives.

If you want to change your life, take fast actions.
