Notes from James

WEEKLY LETTER
ISSUE #1 · APR 19

Hey {{first_name}}

This is the start of something new and unfamiliar! My first ever newsletter...

For my early adopters, thank you for being here! I am excited to express more of what’s on my mind week-to-week and share everything that I am creating all in one place.

While I have been traveling for the past 3 months, my life has been filled with enormous amounts of inspiration, and I almost can’t keep up with it at times. I am journaling more than ever, and I want to share the best bits of my insights and writing with more than myself. As always, nothing that you see in this newsletter will be created with the use of AI, it’s all from the mind & heart.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

“If you want something you’ve never had, you must be willing to do something you’ve never done”

- Thomas Jefferson

The Science of Learning Nobody Taught You in School
Welcome to Episode 1 of Pull the Thread! Pull the Thread is a new series that I am going to be publishing as an extension of my daily short form learning videos. These videos will be longer, informative, deep dives on interesting topics.

In this episode, I share learning techniques, science behind how your brain works, and insights for the future.

From James
If you see any formatting mistakes, typos, or issues with this newsletter please let me know. This is what human imperfection looks like and we need more of it! I wrote and edited this email all by myself, no second set of eyes, or AI to polish what I wrote or correct any mistakes. We’re human, we make mistakes, and life goes on. It’s a terrible shame to let perfectionism get in the way of making progress. We are not perfect.

Finally, I’m super excited to announce that I will be releasing the system that I use to learn something new every day without AI in the next few weeks. I am mentioning this here and now because I am going to need some of your help to give me feedback on the system so that I can make it the best that it can be before publishing. Keep an eye out for another email from me in the next few days.

- James
